Israel Independence Day

Here comes my Avia S-199, made from the new KP-kit!

The kit is excellent: The model is highly detailed, parts are fitting very good and the canopy is very clear.

Also the decals are printed in a perfect quality and are good to handle.  I just did not use the decal for the white/blue stripes on the fuselage and preferred to paint it on. The stripes are just printed straight, I think it will not match to the fuselages shape.

My model is painted with enamels from Humbrol and Revell by brush. Flat varnish seals the model.

It´s a bit ironic that Israel used this version of the Messerschmitt Bf 109, which was built in former Czechoslovakia after the war.

The Israeli pilots called it Messer, from "Messerschmitt".  Further the meaning of the German word "Messer" is "knife".

Enjoy the pictures!

Greetings from Germany!
