1/43 Cessna 182

This kit started life as the box scale (1/43?) Cessna 180. But, you don't build as many 180/ 185 float planes as I do and not have a box of spare parts. So with an idea of what I wanted I set to work on this creation, mostly so I could paint it polished aluminum and teal!

I moved the main gear back, added spats from the left overs from my float plane builds, filled a few seams here and there and removed any of the "toy like" properties of the kit. I added my own home made windshield and detailed the cabin interior.

Decals are, the registration only and those were cobbled together.

The rest is all masked and painted with Alclad lacquer doing the job of polished aluminum and custom mixed Tamiya acrylics for the rest.

This was a very old kit, with raised panel lines and opening doors but it does have a fairly nice engine.

Thanks for looking
