North America NA-16
Continuing with the commemoration in 2020, of the 100 Year Anniversary of the Venezuela Air Force.
In 1940 the Venezuelan Military Aviation (AMV) received three North American NA-16 airplanes (lot NA-71), more advanced than their predecessors (lot NA-45), they were all metal constructed and with retractable landing gear. This aircraft would later become the Texan AT-6.
The NA-16s (lot NA-71) were armed with a machine gun in the nose and in the rear cockpit. These aircraft operated with the first Texan AT-6C and AT-6D that arrived in Venezuela between 1941 and 1945.

The model built is one of the three NA-16s (lot NA-71) operated by Venezuela, that were identified with Nos. 4, 5 and 6.
To build the North American NA-16, No.4, I used the Revell AT-6 / SNJ Texan model kit, 1:48 scale. The paint applied is acrylic from Model Master (Testor); decals are custom home-made.
Enjoy the photos.
