  Peru Independence Day 2005

This is a SU-22(M2) in FAP markings, converted from a Pantera SU-20.  Some modifications were needed to represent a right "Fitter F".

First I had to add the doppler fairing below the front fuselage section, I scratchbuilt a master in plastic and cast a resin copy.

The FAP Fitters feature Tumansky R-29 engines, so I enlarged the rear fuselage section diameter a little because R-29 engines are little wider in comparison with Lyulka AL-21 engine powered versions.

Flaps were lowered and finally pastel chalk and oil weathering was applied after painting, some other details were added in the cockpit to improve it since the kit includes only basic instruments. I really enjoyed building one of my favorite planes.

Best regards from Perú
