Hello Guys, Hello Steve !

Here is my first ARC contribution (and not the last I hope)!

The kit is a very beautiful old one from Hasegawa with raised details. Fit is perfect. Decals are fine and great.  Everything comes without problem except for adjusting the two small “wings” on the aft bottom fuselage.

The only big bug in the kit is the cockpit. Panels and details are done with decals …

Worst, there’s no bulkhead behind the too simplistic ejection seat.

That’s why I decided to close the canopy.   However, detailing the seat and top front cockpit is necessary even with a canopy in down position.

The pitot tube was replaced by an hypodermic tube.

I used Humbrol N° 129 (with a little touch of white) and N° 130 (with a little touch of black) for painting.

Pre-shading was done with Humbrol N° 33 and weathering with Windsor Oil Pastel and Pastel chalk.

The windscreen is tinted with Tamiya N° X23 "clear blue".

The metallic effect on the exhaust was done with Humbrol Metalizer.

The final coat is Vallejo matt varnish (separated from Humbrol paint by one coat of Klir).

Wood base (thanks Daniel!), ground, wheels block, extinguisher and identification sticker (thanks again my friend) are made from scratch.

A happy modeller.

Pascal
