This is
my first Spitfire in 48 scale, I’m actually not a big fan of British
aircraft, but I got a real deal on this kit, so I think it’s time for me to
have a British aircraft on my shelf. J
This
kit built like a breeze…....kinda' slap and shake type CMIIW, no major fit
problems were encountered, the detail level is good, I highly recommend this kit to
everyone, it's even better than Tamiya’s Mustang. L
I use
Model Master's paint for this a/c, Dark Green and Military Brown if I’m not
mistaken, the only problem with this kit is the decals, they’re thick and don’t react well to the decal solvent I used
(Microscale and Mr. Decal
Softer from Gunze)
I
didn’t use any pastel chalks on this a/c, instead I used only my airbrush for
the gun soot and exhaust soot, pardon me for being lazy J
(Actually I wanted to try something new that’s all, if I can achieve the same
degree of weathering using my airbrush.....why not, hopefully it’ll improve my
airbrushing skill), washing and a li’l chipping using silver paint wrapped up the
model.

Here’s
the cockpit shot, nothing fancy here, just applying what I’ve learnt from the
forum (Thanks Guys J
!!)
Here’s
the painting steps I used on this model, it’s a pre-shading technique, Boy,
I’m in love with this technique J
