Hi everybody!. Here´s my first
submission to ARC; my model is the Mirage IIIEA in 1/48 by ESCI. It was built
in 1990 straight of the box, no resin, no photo etched parts.
Humbrol paints were used.
Superscale and Aerocalcas Argentinas were used too.

The model depicts
the camo used during the Malvinas War, it is a typical SEA camo, same colours as
the F-4 used in Vietnam. The plane is depicted here with 2 AAM Matra 550
Magic (from ESCI Mirage F-1), 2 supersonic fuel tanks, and a SARH Matra R-530 in
the centreline position under the belly.
Assembly was a
piece of cake, as I didn´t add anything to the model. It is hand-painted, I
didn´t have an air-compressor at the time the model was made. During the war
the Mirages flew with two "ferry" fuel tanks (1.700lts), to allow them
reach the distant island, by the time the model was made I couldn´t find them
(now I am planning to build the whole Mirage family in use here in Argentina,
some of them with those enourmous tanks).

Patria!......Feliz 25 de Mayo......
