This
is my first contribution to ARC. I mainly build military aircraft
and helicopters. This is an F-16A MLU of the Belgian Air component with a
special color scheme which was applied for the Tiger Meet at Cambrai AFB (France)
in 2003.
My
main references were my own pictures of Belgian F-16’s which I collected over
the past 10 years during several visits to airshows in Belgium, France,
the Netherlands and the UK.

The
model itself is well-known to modellers and is a typical Hasegawa product.
A good model which is re-issued several times always with other decals. In this case FA-122 of 31 (Tiger) Squadron of the Belgian Air Component.
I added Eduard photo-etched parts (48-391) and an ejection seat from Aires.
Everything
fit very well together so no filler was needed.
I
airbrushed with gunze (H305) and Xtra-color (X135, X136, X133).
After
painting and applying the decals, a wash was used to highlight the panel lines.
After that a coat of matt varnish (Gunze H20) and then I used a second technique
of weathering: pastels. This
gives the model a more used impression.
I’ll
hope you enjoy this model! I did!
