1/48 Italeri Mikojan-Gurewitsch MiG-23MF

Here are some pictures of my second MiG-23. In this case it is the MF (my first one was a S), in the colours of an Soviet squadron, based in East Germany in the 1980s.

The kit is an old ESCI-one, which Italeri re-released.  There was a lot to do, to make this kit more realistic.  At first I polished the whole surface.  Next I built a cockpit with old parts.  After assembling I engraved the whole surface in a way which is quiet similar the original struktur.....and this work took days!!!!!

My model is displayed with all flaps down, each airbreak is open, also the brake-parachutes-casing, the canopy.....

The painting is one of the usual Soviet scheme for an interceptor.  At least I`m very satisfied with the result.
