1/72 Revell Diorama Set

Part 2 : Ground Support Equipment

--------------------

Today I present you the ground support equipment. There are 7 different "vehicles": the hangar tractor, the hydraulic test stand H2987 Sun Electric Systems, the starter 30 KVA, the component crane, the towbar, the outer load trailer and the hoist. It takes a  few hours for building and painting the model with most details. We finally obtained good references of the real material, except maybe for the towbar which seems too short and which the frame should consist of two bars and not a single detail, according to the photos that I observed in the Air Force Monthly magazine exclusively usual to the Eurofighter Typhoon.

I did little scratchbuilding on the starter 30 KVA: I sanded the cable and its ties on the right-hand side. Ties were made from brass thread and the cable in brass thread too but a finer diameter. I put down a drop of maskol Humbrol on one of the extremities to represent the connection on the plane. The cacle is black and the connection grey.

Every "vehicle" was deposited in a homogeneous way on the diorama by avoiding a blocked aspect. You will see the result next time when the Typhoon and the diorama are finished.
