Turkish Remembrance of Ataturk and Youth Day May 19 2007

This is my 1/48 Hasegawa Henschel Hs-129 B2 . This aircraft was assigned to 8.Pz/Sch.G1 in the eastern front during the spring  of 1943.  The “Red J”  flown by Lt. Rudolf Heinz Ruffer  -a Knight’s Cross holder-  was lost to Soviet ground fire on 27 May 1943.

The model is built mostly out of the box.  I started with the cockpit.  The cockpit elements are painted to RLM 66.  The cockpit built by adding  PE seat belts from Eduard as usual.

Painting was done with  Gunze Sangyo acrylics.  Upper surfaces are painted to  RLM 70 / RLM 71  and the lower surfaces to RLM  65.

The decals are from the box.

It' s finished by using  a matt coat from Gunze  after some artist oil paint weathering.

Happy modelling
