This
is the well known Tamiya Mustang kit. It went together real good, I only
needed some filler at the underside of the model.
I
used the P-51D Cockpit set from True Details. For the decals I used
RepliScale sheet 48-5057

It
is a plane from the 362nd FS of the 357th FG "The
Yoxford Boys". The plane is 414798 Butch Baby, piloted by Jullan Bertram.
I
used the Olive Drab/Natural Grey paint scheme. For this I used Modelmaster
and Humbrol paints.
The
decals where applied using Micro Set/Sol, the decals reacted perfect. For the
final flat coat, I used Xtracolor Matt. I used this for the first time.
Normally
I use Revell clear coats, but these react badly to Xtracolor paints which I used
for the yellow. I find the Xtracolor clear coat looks much flatter after 1 time
then the Revell one.
