That is my 1:32 Hasegawa mould
Revell 1:32 Fw190D-9 'Dora'.. First of all I would like to write about
plane a bit. During the last months of the war, the RLM needed a high altitute fighter, coz
the A-8
wasn't good enough to intercept the allied bombers that were flying high
over the skies of the Reich. Kurt Tank was asked to design a plane in
a short time period with
stuff that avaible in his hands. The solution was wise; he used fuselage
and wings of A-8, installed a line cylinder type engine and a bigger
tail. It was how the D type was born. Apparently the D type
couldn't change the fate of war. But even after 63 years it seems really
nice. And fun to build.
There is no need to mention about this kit a
lot. It is great! Good fit, detailed cockpit and wheel
bay. The kit itself
comes with a few decal options.....with early and late type tails..Galland and
normal canopy. It is a really a good kit and deserves every Turkish
yeni lira I paid. Thanks to Revell for boxing this baby for
us. Buying
Hasegawa mould Revell feels like buying a Honda with BMW engine! :)

As for aftermarket I used Cutting
Edge decal set CED 32033 and Eduard colored seatbelt..
Paints are from Gunze. For
the RLM 84 I
mixed duck egg blue and RLM 65..seems like I managed it! The upper surface
is dark & light green and the cowling and propeller painted by
Agama. I can
recommend to all modellers. I did the wash with raw amber..some stencils
used from the kit itself.
I hope you enjoy my Dora.
By the way sending my best wishes to my dear
brother Emad Tabsh from Lebanon..
Happy modelling..best wishes from Turkey!
