Hello to you
all!
This is the
first time I have posted on ARC and I'm proud to be next to some great
models.
Here is my Hasegawa
Messerschmitt BF-109 G-10, this has taken me a while to build which
has been an on and off project, but just recently I have had the time to
finally complete this model.
She has been a
trial and error model as my modelling experience is not great. As I progressed with this model, I have found teaching myself, reading the
forums, looking at real aircraft and at other peoples creations
on how to do all the little fancy bits with weathering effects all
the little cockpit details and mainly getting it put together to look
something like a real aircraft which I have sometimes found not
easy.

I don't know
much about the history of the Aircraft / Paint scheme I picked, but after
looking about on the web found this website if anyone is interested; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jagdgeschwader_51
I found that
with this kit, it was the best choice for a beginner and also not currently
owning an Airbrush to do the fancy camouflage effects that
the other paint schemes may require. The weathering on the underside
of the aircraft was fairly easy to do, simply dry brushing or a small
amount of thinners with paint on kitchen towels, I found
this not to work as well on the top of the aircraft or I think it was me
being scared of ruining the aircraft, but I will try other ideas and
resort back to the forum. I did a lot of work on the cockpit
with the gauges seats etc and put the effects in but sadly didn't get
any photos.
This was also
a test for my new mobile phone camera with the macro lens, this is
slightly random not using a fancy SLR or my normal digital
camera but they have come out quite well!
If anyone has
any creative comments please feel free to email me.
Hope you all
like my best efforts and see you soon with my next model!
