Yes, hockey
fans from coast to coast, Newfoundland and Labrador and all the ships at sea,
its the 107th stupid stinking Phantom that Shawn "Phantom" Weiler has
shown on ARC. Are ya bored yet?
Are ya wishing I
would build something else? Are ya like 103 guy wishing I would get a
"swifter".
Tough cookies, suck
it up buttercup, I like Phantoms and I am going to keep subjecting you to my
perverse desire to build them.

This one is the 1/48
Hasegawa release built almost out of the box. Even kit decals. The only
add on is the pitot tubes inside the intakes (which you can't see anyway)
and the one piece canopy taken from another Phantom kit. Which by the way
was my very last one piece canopy......I still have a bunch more Phantoms
to build so I'd better start looking for some more.
I received this kit
in a trade, which came with some (still unused) Japanese Phantom decals and a
positional flap set from Paragon which I have yet to use. This paint scheme is
still in use as I type this. And just to be the ultimate Phantom geek.......This
article has been sent to Steve on the 50th anniversary of the first flight of
the Phantom II. May 28, 1958. Also it was built as my fourth entry to the ARC
phantom 50th ann. group build.
Will I be sending in
more Phantoms to torture you with?
Ohhh.....I should
think so.
Shawn
