When not building
models, I am a Paramedic with the East of England Ambulance Service.
Just recently, we
have had our own dedicated Air Ambulance, call sign Anglia 2, come into service.
Like all Air
Ambulances in the UK, they are wholly funded by charitable donations and the fund
raising team works very hard to keep the money coming in.
The Pilots and
Paramedics are paid, but the Doctors work on a voluntary basis. Since Anglia 2
Came into service I have worked with her crew on a number of occasions and they
have really made a difference to the outcome of the jobs they have attended, with
their advanced skills.

Recently, a model of
Anglia 2, along with Anglia 1 which covers the other side of our area, was
released by the East
of England Air Ambulance.
The kit is the
Revell Eurocopter/Medicopter 117 with a specially commissioned decal sheet
included that features the markings for the two helicopters.
A specially printed
sleeve slips over the Revell box and features photographs of the real machine on
the front and a painting and decalling guide on the back.
Anglia 1 made a
public relations visit to our Head Quarters and I was able to get to take
some real close up pictures.
I will be submitting
them to the walkaround section.
Should anyone wish
to get a model of this helicopter, they may be obtained from the East of England
Air Ambulance at:
www.eaaa.org.uk.
All money raised goes towards the upkeep of the Air Ambulances.
