1/32 Revell Bf-109 K-4

by Erik "Kurfuerst" Alles

--------------------

Even built straight out of the box, Revell's Kurfuerst comes along nicely, nevertheless I added quite a lot of goodies to this Messerschmitt:
EagleParts cockpit and spinner, Quickboost gun barrels and exhaust stacks, Aires wheel wells and some Eduard frets made the "ultimate sacrifice".
I had decided to refine the surface detailing by using Rosie the Riveter which performed flawlessly in adding rivet lines.

Balk crosses and the "White 13" were painted using self-made masks, whereas all stencilling was taken from an EagleCal decal sheet.
Paint-job was done using Gunze acrylics.

My model depicts "White 13" of 5./JG 11, stationed at Strausberg in early 1945 and was inspired by two photographs I found in JaPo's "Messerschmitt Bf 109K camouflage & markings".

This build was an extremely protracted-one as I suffered - every now and then - from a severe "balk-cross allergy". ;-)
I hope you'll enjoy it.
