As these are Antarctic helicopters,
they have a large amount of orange paint on most of them for safety and
visibility. Three of the choppers flown by the US Army feature penguin
artwork and 2 of those helicopters have artwork that features the Antarctic
continent with a chopper over it. One of the French choppers features
Penguin artwork. And other choppers on this sheet feature national flags
and markings that adds further color to these already colorful paint
schemes.
The helicopters include the
following:
-
Bo-105c, Uruguayan Navy
-
Bell 47, Chilean Navy in 1957
-
Alouette II, Belgian Antarctic
Expedition in 1965.
-
Alouette II, French Antarctic
Territories, in 2 paint schemes in the mid 1960's with one aircraft
featuring Penguin artwork.
-
Bell UH-1B US Army, in 2 paint
schemes during 1962 - 1963 with both featuring Penguin artwork.
-
Bell 212 Uruguayan Air Force in
the mid 1990's.
-
Bell UH-1D US Army, in 1969
featuring Penguin artwork.
-
Bell UH-1D US Navy VX-6 in 1970
