This new decal
sheet from
Leading
Edge Models includes markings for
the C-47 that is operated by Buffalo
Airways in the North of Canada. If you've watched the TV show "Ice
Pilots", then you know all about the hard working characters that makes it
possible for this family run operation take to the air each day. The
operation is run by a crusty old character by the name of Joe.
One of their
planes is a vintage C-47 "Summer Wages" C-GPNR and this decal sheet
provides you with markings for this C-47.This aircraft was built in 1944 for the
RCAF and was purchased in 1980 by Buffalo Airways with 13,000 hours on the
airframe.
This decal
sheet is also available in
1/48 scale.
There are 2
pages of instructions that include 4 view colour profiles and all the info you
need. The decals are beautifully printed on 1 decal sheet with one smaller
insert sheet. You get all the green stripes for the sides of the fuselage,
but you will be required to paint the green on the tail and tops of the
wings.
With the popularity
of the TV show "Ice Pilots", it is exciting to see this new decals
sheet.
I would like to
thank Leading
Edge Models for
providing me with this
product
sample.
