This latest release from Lifelike Decals features four different Albatros D.III/V's.  This is Part 1 of  a series dealing with the Albatros D.III/V in late 1917 to early 1918

The 4 aircraft include a very pleasing variety of paint schemes and markings.

  • Albatros D V flown by Lt. d R. Ernst Udet, Jasta 37, Wynghene, in autumn 1917.  Paint scheme overall white with black engine cowling.

  • Albatros D V 4408/17flown by Vfw.Georg Strasser, Jasta 17, Retheuil Ferme, around December 1917.  Paint scheme is overall yellow and white with a big red heart on the side of the fuselage.

The quality of these decals is of very good quality.  The decals themselves are clearly printed on 2 decal sheets and are in perfect register.  Some decals come in 2 or 3 layers to ensure perfect registration and no colour bleed through.

WW1 was full of many great and innovative aircraft and the Germans had some very colourful aircraft and markings on their fighters.  I love the variety on this decal sheet.

You can purchase these decals either directly from Lifelike Decals at fax number is +81-3-5680-6733, and e-mail is lifelike@eos.ocn.ne.jp. or from HobbyLink Japan.
