Jinoo Koo starts today's update with this very detailed 1/48 Hasegawa P-40E Kittyhawk Mk. 1 diorama.  This is an RAAF Kittyhawk complete with mechanics around the plane sorting to repairs....in proper Aussie clothing.  The model had quite a few aftermarket detail items added to it before it was given desert weathering.  There is so much to see and enjoy in this diorama.

David C S Teo has done an exceptionally fine job on his 1/144 Revell Mahan Air 747-400 (EP-MNB).  There are no decals for Mahan Air, so David made his own custom made decals after much trial and error to get everything perfect.  The finished airliner is a beautiful sight.

Stephen A. Carr built his 1/48 Hobbycraft Bell YP-59 Airacomet as a quickie build, but you'd never know that by reading his article and the effort he put into this well built and beautifully weathered little jet.  I was fascinated reading Stephen's article especially how he painted the canopy.  He masked and painted the vertical and horizontal canopy frames separately......saving himself plenty of time and difficult masking.  Brilliant.

Huberlu has done an absolutely wonderful job on his 1/48 Eduard Spad XIII.  Everything about this little bi-plane looks perfect from the detailed and weathered model to the pilot figure to the diorama base.  WOW......I love it from every angle.

Dave Johnson is here with a product article of the 1/48 Hobby Boss A-7E Corsair from Hobby Link Japan.

Twobobs latest Hot Babe of the Week!  are courtesy of a couple of good buds of ours over here at Twobobs. Jeff Stoermer and Ken Middleton are both frequent contributors to our reference material library over here. Topical theme this week is MLU Vipers. Look for a couple of these sheets to go to the printers here in the next couple of weeks. Walk-arounds of multiple jets from these two great guys.

Sang Hoon Hwangbo joins us from Korea with a beautifully detail and wonderfully finished 1/35 Academy/MRC UH-60A Black Hawk USFK type.  This Black Hawk is finished in US markings for a chopper that operates in the border area between the 2 Koreas.  The detailing on this Black Hawk is fantastic.

Gabriel Stern has taken the easy route on this model and actually not scratchbuilt the whole model.  This is his 1/72 Khee-Kha Vacuformed WACO YKS done up as a bush plaen and of course Gabriel did added extra detail to make his WACO look just perfect.  I think Khee-Kha are well worth checking out....they have some great kits including float planes.  Beautiful job as always Gabriel.

Moises Ballester has done a fabulous job detailing, finishing and weathering his 1/32 Trumpeter Eurofighter.  Moises finished this Eurofighter in Spanish Air Force markings complete with drop tanks, weapons and a ladder.  Very nicely done.

Nick Winand enjoyed building his sharp looking 1/72 Testors SBD Dauntless (painted as A-24 Banshee).  This is one of those older model kit that as Nick shows......builds up into a great looking model.  I enjoyed your Dauntless Nick and I look forward to seeing your Revell F-101.

Rafi Ben-Shahar has today's first model and it is big and beautiful!!!  This is Rafi's 1/32 Trumpeter Swordfish II done up in the late war white scheme.  Rafi is an old pro at building the Swordfish and you will see that skill in his photos.

Johan Elvin has done an exceptional job super detailing his 1/48 Hasegawa SAAB J 35J Draken.  Johan added many many aftermarket detail items as well as his own scratchbuilt details to turn his Draken into a detail rich masterpiece.  Gotta' love those Swedish jets!!!

Thomas Meyer is here with his first article on ARC and what a fantastic diorama it is.  This is an 1/48 Italeri Arado Ar 196A off the Bismark complete with amazingly well done water.....I can almost feel the cold of the North Atlantic water.  I hope Thomas becomes  a regular visitor to the ARC homepage with more of his stunning models.  Welcome to ARC Thomas!!!

Paolo De Sanctis has done a wonderful job on his 1/72 Italeri P.51A Mustang.  This is an early American Mustang that served in North Africa during WW2.  Paolo gave it just the right amount of weathering and fading to match the dry desert climate.  This Mustang sports script on the nose and Old Glory on the tail, which is cool to see.

Eric BADE is here with an article if you have ever struggled with Luftwaffe camo schemes.  This is Eric's 1/72 Revell Messerschmidt Me 109K-4 with plenty of aftermarket goodies, but it is the painting and weathering that really are the focal point of this late war fighter.  Read his article to learn how he did this wonderful paint and weathering job.

Luxembourg - National Day and
Official Birthday of H.R.H. the Grand Duke Jean
Anton Meso gets things started today with his exceptional 1/48 Hasegawa AH-64 D Apache Longbow.  Anton added a resin engine with photoetch from Eduard and then added further scratchbuilt detailing to get the engine plumbing looking just right.  His Apache does capture the look of the real aircraft perfectly.

Hal Marshman, Sr is here with his first model for 2010 and what a beauty it is.  This is Hal's 1/48 Tamiya F4U-1 Corsair complete with engine wiring aftermarket items from Ultra Cast and MV lenses.  Hal paid special attention to getting that PTO faded look and he did that perfectly when he came to the painting and weathering.  This is one very sharp looking USMC Corsair.

Stefan Gabriel has been very busy creating his outstanding 1/48 Revell Republic F-105B.  This model started off as a F-105F and was converted to a  F-105B by doing quite a few modifications including scratchbuilding a new nose.  Stefan also spent many hours rescribing the panel lines....which is a difficult task if you choose to give your model a  multi-shaded bare metal finish as Stefan did.  Absolutely amazing work.

Serge Dompierre joins us today with his beautifully finished 1/48 Dragon FW TA 152 H-1.  Serge gave his TA 152 a flawlessly applied camo scheme along with careful weathering.  I really do like the look of this TA 152.

Russia - The Invasion of Russia

Hot Babe of the Week! photos from Twobobs this week is an insanely sick Viper from the Italian AF. A Block 15 ADF with one of the wickedest schemes you'll ever find! Courtesy of Paolo Maglio, this jet is in work as I type this for a release soon after the IPMS National Convention! Paolo provided us with a DVD full of photos, paint color markings and digital files of the original artwork that was used to come up with the pattern. Great stuff!  Bob S.

David Waples put a huge amount of effort into improving his 1/72 Italeri EB-66 E-DL Destroyer.  David added plenty of scratchbuilt cockpit detailing as well as Mike Grant instruments and some enhancements to other areas of his Destroyer before freehand airbrushing the camo with much skill and success and displaying it on a very attractive display base.  This whole project came together perfectly.

Gabriel Stern is here with another of his wondrous Scratchbuilt masterpieces from early aviation.  This is his scratchbuilt 1/72 Dayton-Wright racer - 1920.  Gabriel details the process to make this fantastic little racer......the lack of forward windows would cause me concern if I was the pilot.  This plane from the 1920's does have some very interesting innovations that you'll read about in the article.

Don Bryans is here with his big, bold and beautiful 1/72 Revell Boeing B-52D.  Don built his BUFF over a period of 9 months and I must say the finished model shows Don's high degree of care and attention throughout.  The finished camo looks just right.  This is one impressive model of this Cold War bomber.

Greg Goheen is here with something truly rare and exceptional.  This is his 1/48 Junkers Ju 88V-6 Prototype that he was able to complete with the help of the MDC resin conversion kit.  Greg did quite a bit of work to replicate the details from photos to make his early Ju 88 as accurate as possible.  His efforts were rewarded with a flawless replica of this rare prototype.

This weeks Twobobs Newsletter is up.  As Monday was Memorial Day.....Bob has paused in his newsletter to pay respect to that very important holiday in a very fitting tribute.....as you will see in his newsletter.  Plus he has a ton of images of the new F-5 Aggressor sheets that are coming soon.

Brad Cancian has done a truly stunning job on his 1/32 Wingnut Wings Albatros DVa.  Brian has some in-progress photos of the elaborate interior detailing to show you all the work he put into his WW1 fighter.  The rear part of the fuselage is masked and painted and the wood section of the fuselage is some of the best simulated wood painting I've ever seen.

Kevin Payne has been busy doing a stellar job on his 1/72 Rareplanes De havilland Devon.  Kevin tells about the real aircraft in his article.  The finished model really does look exceptional.

David Rapasi has done his usual marvelous job building and weathering his 1/48 Tamiya FG-1A Corsair.  David explains the special qualities of the Goodyaer FG-1A Corsair.

Gonzalo D. Mendoza drops by today with his flawless looking 1/48 Hobbyboss A-10.  Gonzalo added scratchbuilt as well as aftermarket detail to his A-10 before finishing it off with Two Bobs Shark Bait decals and a FULL weapons load.  Beautiful work Gonzalo.

I have a product article for the new 1/32 MiG-29 APU-60 Missile Pylons from Zactomodels.
