   Mexican Revolution Anniversary

Paul S Teixeira is here with his very bright eye catching 1/48 Hasegawa TA-4J Skyhawk.  I've always been a  fan of trainer aircraft and seeing Paul's USN Skyhawk trainer is a great way to begin my day.  Paul added resin seats and then finished it off to the highest standard.....sheer perfection.

David Rapasi is here with his 1/48 Accurate Miniatures TBF 1C Avenger finished in a paint scheme and markings we don't often see.  This is one of the Avengers that operated off a carrier in the North Atlantic hunting subs that were attacking the convoys.  And of course it is done to David's typical high standards.

Douglas Conrady did a beautiful job building and finishing his 1/72 Italeri A-7D.  Douglas gave his A-7 some weapons and droptanks and then finished it off in Oklahoma-ANG.  Read his article for his story why he picked Oklahoma-ANG markings....it's a great story.

Paolo De Sanctis is here with an aircraft we all recognize....and I know I always enjoy seeing it on ARC.   This is his 1/72 Matchbox Ju-87D Stuka with a scratchbuilt cockpit and finished in a very well done paint job.  I do like the look of this Stuka.

I have a product article for the new 1/48 B-1B Dakota Back Bone decal sheet from Twobobs Aviation Graphics.

Here's the latest Hot Babe of the Week! photos from TwobobsAnother jet this week from VFA-125. This is their Green Hornet jet and is the subject of a forthcoming sheet from us. Thanks to Robert Dubonnette and Kelly Voyles for the pics!

Val Golez is one of those great modelers with IPMS-BA Philippines and today Val is here with this great looking 1/72 Italeri Harrier GR.3.  Val did a much scratchbuilding on this Harrier and then finished in the classic camo worn by Harriers in the UK.  This model is a beauty.  I love the look of the UK camo.

Carmel J. Attard joins us from Malta with a most amazing model.  This is his 1/72 Formaplane Handley Page Hastings made from a vac-u-formed kit.  The finished model is a true gem and a delight to see.......it leaves me in awe of Carmel that he can constantly build all these challenging kits into spectacular models.  Wow this one is NICE!!!

Rafi Ben-Shahar did quite a bit of added work and scratchbuilding on his very attractive 1/48 Hasegawa F-16C/D using parts from the Tamiya kit as well as aftermarket goodies from Aires before finishing his F-16 in that great looking Alaskan camo.  Well done Rafi!!!.

Robert Martino is here with his first article on ARC.  This is his 1/48 Testors P-51D Mustang.  Robert did a flawless job on his Mustang and then finished it in the markings for the P-51 flown by Major Ed Giller of the 343rd Fighter Squadron, 55th Fighter Group “The Millie P”.  Welcome to ARC Robert!!!  I really like how this one turned out and I look forward to seeing more of Robert's models on ARC.

Zotz Decals has a new 1/32 Spitfire MkIX decal sheet coming out in the next few weeks.  And yes.....this decal sheet does contain plenty of sexy noseart and even D-Day stripes.  I'll get more images and details to you next week.

Oman National Day

Latvia National Day

I just realized that ARC had it's 10th anniversary on Nov 15.  Wow hard to believe it's been 10 years!!!
Ronald Middel is here with his first article on ARC today.  This is his 1/48 Revell F-15E Strike Eagle finished with true skill to a very high level.  I'm very pleased to see Ronald's F-15 on ARC and I look forward to seeing more of his models on ARC in the future.  Welcome to ARC Ronald!!!.

Ralph Emerson "Shonen Red" Dabao built his 1/48 Eduard Bell P-39L Airacobra out of the box, but considering the Eduard kit comes loaded with all the extras Eduard includes with their P-39.  Ralph really did this kit justice with his excellent choice of the brown and Tan camo and finished it off with ful weathering for added realism.

Liuzhe joins us for the first time today with his beautiful 1/48 Hobbyboss F-105D in Vietnam War markings including a full weapons load.  Welcome Liuzhe.....I love your F-105 and I hope to see more of your models on ARC.  It's good to see more modellers from China showing their models on ARC.

Björn Dol is here with a special 1/48 Accurate Miniatures B-25C Mitchell.  This is a Dutch B-25 and I can't recall ever seeing a Dutch B-25, but I sure do like to see aircraft in Royal Netherlands Air Force markings.  Decals are from Flevo Decals.

This weeks Twobobs Newsletter is up.  Bob has pics of the production tooling and a couple of pics of sprue shots for the 1/48 Buckeye kit.  I must say I do like what I see in the photos
.

Jason Cooper is here with his 1/48 Italeri F14 Tomcat that is based on the Anime Movie Macross Zero.  Jason kit bashed parts from different F-14's and then used aftermarket goodies to get everything just right and then finished it with custom decals.  The finished model is a joy to behold.

Jason Foo did a beautiful job building, detailing and finishing his 1/48 Academy P-47N Thunderbolt.  Jason built his Jug mostly out of the box with some added wire in critical areas to give his P-47 that extra detailing to make it stand out.  Then he finished it in a flawless barematal finish.  He really did this WW2 fighter justice.

Bernhard Schenk is impressed with the 1/48 ICM Messerschmitt Bf 109 F-2.  This was not the easiest kit to build, but that didn't stop him from building a perfect looking Bf-109F.  But read his article for the full story......the build wasn't without it's challenges, but I do agree....these cheaper kits can be very satisfying.

Tigre del Aire dropped by the ARC Corporate office in Colombia to show us his nicely done 1/72 Lindberg Denel Cheetah CE.  Tigre del Aire used templates to paint the markings for the Ecuador Air Force to finish off his Denel Cheetah CE.  Well done Tigre del Aire.

I've added Flevo Decals to the ARC links pages.  They have a variety of decals for prop aircraft including some from the Royal Netherlands Air Force.

Stephen Szrna joins us from Hungary with his amazing 1/48 Academy F-22 Raptor.  Stephen has loaded his Raptor with a pile of detail items from weapons to cockpit to nozzles and so much more.  Have a close look at this one.....it is a beauty.

Gabriel Stern has taken the older 1/72 Airfix De Havilland DH 88 Comet and improved almost every area of this kit with great success.  This one did come out looking really sharp.

Ermanno Bonafin has done an outstanding job detailing and finishing his 1/48 Tamiya F84-G.  The multi-shade bare metal finish is flawless, but you really have to see the cockpit.....WOW!!!

Don Enlow is is here with a VERY special 1/48 ESCI B-26B Marauder.  His Dad was a crew member on this particular B-26 and Don is quite the expert in his own right.  He added aftermarket engines and did plenty of extra work to do up his Dad's B-26 just right.  I love the results.....way to go Don.

John R. Matthews from Orca Studio is back today with more of his artwork.  Today he presents us with his “Coastal Patrol” Artwork.  This is a Lockheed P-3 Orion based out of NAS Whidbey Island flying low along a portion of Washington state's rugged coastline.  I love it Mark.

Hal Marshman Sr. is a pro when it comes to WW2 fighters and today he's treating us to his 1/48 Hasegawa Focke Wulf FW 190A-8.  Hal has built plenty of 190's and this article gives you much insight if you are also pondering building  a 190 and want to learn some of Hal's tricks.  Beautifully done as always Hal.

Lee, Seok Joo has impressed me with his big jets and today you all get to enjoy his 1/32 Academy F/A-18C Hornet "Chippy-Ho".  Seok Joo built his big Hornet mostly out of the box with a bit of extra detailing in the cockpit and then finished it off in the eye catching "Chippy-Ho" markings.  I love it.

Eric Fauré has done some amazing work on his 1/48 Eduard Mirage 2000D.  Eric scratchbuilt  a cockpit and made canopies as well as improved other areas of his Mirage 2000 before finishing it in the attractive camo used by the French Air Force.  The scratchbult cockpit is amazing.

Martin Hemingway has done a marvelous job painting and weathering his 1/48 Airfix Spitfire F22/24 and Academy Spitfire Mk XIVC Martin finished one in bare metal and the other is sporting D-Day stripes.  Only thing better than one Spitfire....is two Spitfires.....nicely done Martin.

Dan Duna has always impressed me with his Sci-Fi models and I think his 1/20 Hasegawa Ma.K anti gravity Armoured Raider is one of his best models so far.  Dan is a master scratchbuilder and he has added plenty of detail to his Armoured Raider before adding a pilot and display base to complete the scene,

David Rapasi has done a stunning job on his 1/48 Tamiya P-47 M Thunderbolt.  I must confess I'm partial to the P-47's in blue camo, so seeing this one is a special treat.

Alexander Gromov aka Sanchez got everything looking perfect on his weathered Desert Storm 1/48 Hasegawa F-14A Tomcat.  Alexander finished his Tomcat with Fighter town Decals and a full weapons load and displayed it on a diorama base with all the accessories to complete the scene..

Don "CrazyDon" Flynn is here with a 1/72 Fine Molds Bf 109F-4 in a paint scheme you won't see often.  This is a desert 109 partially repainted in Eastern Front camo......it makes for a very cool looking 109.

Orlando and David Sucre Rosales join us today with photos of the Helicopters and civil aircraft from the recent XII Master Hobby Show.

Dennis Djou joins us today with a 1/72 Academy A-10 model he built for his friend.  This desktop model is built mostly out of the box and the thing that really makes it stand out (besides the excellent build quality) is the way this in-flight A-10 is banking.

Mike Lepek has done some very effective weathering to his 1/48 Academy P-38M Night Lightning.  It's tricky to say the least trying to weather a black Night Fighter, but Mike pulled it off very well.  Mike did some extra scratchbuilt detailing along with a bit of kitbashing on his P-38 and used aftermarket decals to finish it off.

The new 1/24th P-47 decal sheet is loaded to the Zotz Decals website.  Here's a first look....this sheet includes Aces, D-Day stripes and plenty of sexy noseart.  Six aircraft in all.

Hal Marshman Sr. is here with one of his gem.  This is his 1/48 Hasegawa Bf-109F-4 in the markings for Josef "Pips" Priller, JG-26, France, 1941.  Hal has built more than a  few 109's and this article tells you all the tricks as well as all the items Hal scratchbuilt to create his 109.  I found his article quite informative and helpful.

Marcel W. Hohl has been busy for 2 years detailing his 1/32 Tamiya F-15E.  And his effort has been rewarded with a Strike Eagle that would be an honored center piece in any display cabinet.  This F-15 is loaded with aftermarket goodies and plenty of careful work.

Doug Fede is here with his beautifully done 1/48 Eduard P-40N Flying Tiger.  Doug chose the markings for a different flying Tiger.....this P-40 N Flying Tiger in Taiwanese markings was flown by the Chinese Ace Wang Kwang Fu.  He scored 6.5 kills against the Japanese during WWII.

Danny Dinh has been very busy improving and added additional detail to this 1/48 Monogram U-17 Skywagon.  This is a psychological warfare airplane with a speaker and a leaflet box in the markings for the 110th Observation Squadron of the South Vietnamese Air Force.  Definitely a neat little aircraft.

"dj" has done a marvelous job building and detailing his 1/48 Revell/Monogram A-10 Thunderbolt II.  "dj" used the Black Box cockpit set to dress up the cockpit and finished his A-10 in Twobobs Decals Warthog markings complete with a Warthog mouth on the nose.
